Bringing Wisdom of Ancient China to US for Pain Management | ||||||||||||||
| Bursitis Bursitis is the painful inflammation or irritation of the bursa. The bursa is a soft, fluid-filled sac that covers and cushions the movement between the bones, tendons and muscles near the joints. Symptoms of bursitis may include: Pain that increases with movement of joint Tenderness of joint Limited movement in the affected areas Swelling and redness in affected areas Treatment may include: Taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) or naproxen (Aleve, others), to relieve pain and reduce inflammation Inject a corticosteroid drug into the bursa to relieve inflammation If your bursitis is caused by an infection, you may take antibiotics. Sometimes the bursa may be surgically drained. Traditional Chinese medicine has been successfully applied to pain conditions for thousands of years. If you suffer from bursitis, TCM can offer pain relief naturally and with no adverse side effects. The sooner the TCM treatment begins, the quicker the pain relieves.
